寝る前の読み聞かせさえできなかった次女の子育て

こんにちは！アンバサダーのY（大学生から小学生まで、4人の子持ち）です。

今回は、次女の読書について。

私はもともと「読書は神」くらいに、大事なものだと思ってたクチです。

毎日の読み聞かせは当然するべき！と思って長男（今大学2年）長女（今高校3年）を育てました。

それは、とある児童書出版社に取材を受けるくらいの熱心さで、

毎晩子どもに1冊づつ選ばせ、残り1冊は私がこどもに聞かせたい本、合計3冊！！

いやーーーー、結構大変でした。

もちろん楽しいときもありますが、

毎日のお迎え→夕飯づくり→食べさせ→お風呂いれさせ→歯ブラシさせて→仕上げ磨きして→寝る

という一連の、休憩のない魔の時間に、さらにタスクを課す。

自らイライラを増やしに突っ込んでるようなもんです。

さらには、本の質にもこだわりにこだわって、某有名進学校の先生がおススメする本を片っ端から見つけては購入。

ディズニーとか、漫画（歴史漫画はOK）アニメ系、キラキラしてるもの、は品もないし、家に置きたくない！

そんなこりっこりに凝り固まった子育てをしていたのですが、

3人目、4人目ともなると

もう、そんなんやってられない！！

特に4人目のこの次女（小２）は、全くと言っていいほど、読み聞かせできませんでした。

仕事も忙しかったし、、と言い訳ｗ

 

小２で、大人の軽め文庫本やハリポタシリーズを読破する、生粋の本好きっ子に

でも、ところが、次女は

気がつけば4人兄弟の中でもトップを争う本好きっ子に成長しています。

学校の休み時間も学童の時間も

そのほとんどが漫画含む読書らしい。

冬休みからは、とうとうハリーポッターシリーズにハマりだし、

寝ても覚めても来る日も来る日も

読みまくる！

携帯を見ている姿は美しくないけど、

本を読む姿は美しい。

どこかの素敵な女優さんがおっしゃってましたが、

そこは私も同感。

読書する次女を見つけると、結構な割合で写真を撮っていました。

 

結構壮観。個人的にはなかなか感慨深いです。

年長の冬には、私も大好きなリンドグレーンの本「やかまし村のこどもたち」を、私が料理している最中に勝手に読み聞かせてくれたときは衝撃だったなぁ。

（私は読み聞かせしてないのに、逆読み聞かせられはずっと続く　笑）

そんな次女は最初からかおりメソッドで育ちました。

私からは「この子の学力を上げるために、今のうちにたくさん本を読ませなきゃ」という、上2人にやってしまっていた焦りや義務感、そして押しつけ感は皆無で、でも、ほんとうに何にもしない、という放置でもなくて、

「わぁ、こんな本あるんだねー。ママこの本好きだわ~♡」とか

「本読むのってホンっと楽しいよね~」　（ただのオヤジギャグｗ）とか

「えーー、ちょっとちょっとまだ読むの~？今日はもうおしまいにして、ママと遊んでよ~。」とか

「この本に出てくる○○と△△、どっちが好き？ママはね、断然△△~！！」とかいって

ふざけながら絡んでいただけです。

めっちゃラクちんじゃないかーーーー！！

上2人の苦労は何だったんだーーーーーーーーーー！！！

こんな風に楽ちん学び体質に子どもが育つコツが

かおりメソッドには満載なんだな~。
